A password-protected QR code encrypts your text content using AES-256-GCM encryption. When someone scans the QR code, they must enter the correct password to view the content. We offer two modes: Offline mode (encrypted data stored in URL, no server needed) and Online mode (stored on server with expiry dates and view limits).
Our password-protected QR codes use AES-256-GCM encryption, which is military-grade encryption used by governments and financial institutions worldwide. Your password is never stored in plain text - we use bcrypt hashing for online mode. Even if someone intercepts the QR code, they cannot read the content without the password.
Offline mode: Encrypted data is embedded directly in the QR code URL. No server storage needed, works forever, but limited to ~500 characters. Online mode: Content stored securely on our server with options for expiry dates (1 hour to 1 year), view limits (1 to 1000 views), and supports up to 5000 characters.
